Tion Renewables Changes Leadership Structure: Tion Renewables Co-Founder Dr. Martin Siddiqui to Leave the Company

Munich (Germany) - Tion Renewables has announced that its co-founder and former CEO Dr. Martin Siddiqui will leave the company at the end of this year.

Siddiqui, who co-founded the company with Christoph Strasser, played a crucial role in building and strategically shaping the independent power producer.

Over the past six years, Siddiqui led Tion through a period of rapid growth. Under his leadership, the company evolved from a start-up into a recognized independent power producer (IPP) and a key player in the European energy sector. According to Tion, the focus was always on combining innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.

“Martin has been a driving force behind Tion’s development since day one. His vision and determination helped establish Tion as a trusted brand and a leader in clean energy solutions,” emphasized Ingmar Helmke, CEO of Tion Renewables.

Co-founder Christoph Strasser also praised Siddiqui’s contribution: “Above all, his integrity is what sets him apart as an inspiring leader for everyone around him. I’m deeply grateful to have shared this journey with him.”

Siddiqui himself reflected: “It has been an incredible journey to help build and lead Tion. I am proud of what we’ve accomplished together.”

Tion Renewables operates photovoltaic and onshore wind projects as well as battery storage in selected core European markets and aims to reach a capacity of 3 GW by 2030.

Supported by the EQT Group, Tion continues to pursue the expansion of renewable energy and emphasizes continuity within its leadership team.
