Logistics Provider Orders 75 eActros 600: High Fuel Prices Drive Transformation – Mercedes-Benz Receives Major Electric Truck Order from the Netherlands
Leinfelden-Echterdingen (Germany) - In response to persistently high diesel prices, the Dutch logistics provider Simon Loos is accelerating the transformation of its fleet.
The new vehicles are to be used primarily in food logistics—an especially demanding segment where efficiency, range, and reliability are crucial. The initial order of the eActros 600 has already proven itself in daily operations and met expectations, which is a key driver behind this follow-up order.
The Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 was specifically developed for long-haul transport and, with a battery capacity of over 600 kWh, achieves a range of around 500 kilometers. High energy efficiency, fast-charging capability, and predictable operating costs make it an increasingly economical alternative in light of rising fuel prices.
By consistently expanding its electric fleet, Simon Loos is not only responding to cost pressures but also sending a clear signal for the future of road freight transport: electric, predictable, and competitive.
