Qualitas Energy Wind Farm Pipeline Grows as Nachtsheim-Luxem Project Reaches Full Operation in Rhineland-Palatinate
Berlin – Qualitas Energy has brought the Nachtsheim-Luxem wind farm in Rhineland-Palatinate, located around 50 kilometers west of Koblenz, into full operation. The wind farm comprises eight Enercon E-138 turbines with a combined capacity of 33.6 MW.
"Bringing all eight turbines into operation reflects the strong execution capabilities of our local team," said Marc Wiemann, Regional Manager of Project Development at Qualitas Energy's Trier office. "The project required close coordination on land-use planning and nature conservation requirements, and we are proud to have delivered it while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and environmental protection."
Qualitas Energy is advancing wind energy expansion in Germany with a portfolio of more than 100 wind energy projects. The company's pipeline includes around 3 GW in advanced development and more than 1 GW under construction or in operation.
In Rhineland-Palatinate, 1,798 wind turbines with a combined net capacity of 4,412 MW were in operation as of June 30, 2026, according to the Federal Network Agency's core energy market data register (Marktstammdatenregister). This places the state sixth by installed capacity among Germany's 16 federal states. Nationwide, close to 30,000 onshore wind turbines with a net capacity of around 70,000 MW were in operation at the end of June.
