Indonesia: Banyumas to build 12 micro-hydro power plants
Purwokerto, Indonesia - The Banyumas regency will build 12 micro-hydro power plants this year. The power plants will utilize the rivers in the surrounding areas.
The environmentally-friendly micro-hydro power plant is suitable for Banyumas, which has many rivers. According to media, the fund for the project is available. The seven power plants that will be used to supply electricity for PLN will be built by collaborating with some private companies, with investment valued at billions of rupiah. One of the investors will be PT Indonesia Power. According to the plan, the seven power plants will use the Logawa, Kali Pruput, and Kali Gua Rivers, and produce 19 megawatts of electricity.
