Qatar Solar Energy puts online 300 MW solar PV module factory
Doha, Qatar - with a production capacity of 300 MW annually, Qatar Solar Energy has commissioned a solar photovoltaic module manufacturing facility in Qatar. This is one of the largest PV factories built to date in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Qatar Solar Energy 's innovative model combines research, technology development, manufacturing, and project development and deployment under one roof, forming a fully integrated value chain from raw materials to the end-user. The generated synergies lead to constant innovation and incorporation of the most advanced technologies in its products. Crucial to this process is QSE's research institute, the Al Jazari Center for Excellence. Additional, Qatar Solar Energy collaborates with leading solar energy technology providers and research institutes to optimize cost and efficiency.

QSE also announced that it has signed agreements with Jermyn Capital to supply 150 MW of solar power to the Japanese market and with Power Capital to to supply 150 MW to the Thailand market. QSE was chosen as the provider for this project because of its ability to deliver higher efficiency solar solutions at lower cost. Plans to work together into the future with both companies on a range of solar power initiatives exist.
