Nordex and UKA Framework Agreement: Nordex Secures 224 MW Orders for Wind Energy Projects in Germany - Shares Rise

Hamburg (Germany) - The Nordex Group has received orders for 33 N175/6.X turbines with a total capacity of 224.4 MW from wind farm developer UKA (Umweltgerechte Kraftanlagen GmbH & Co. KG). Nordex shares continue their upward trend.

The orders are part of an existing framework agreement between the two companies and include the premium service for turbine maintenance over 20 years.

The N175/6.X turbines are scheduled to be installed in nine wind farms across Germany, including sites in Brandenburg, Thuringia, and North Rhine-Westphalia. Commissioning of the turbines will depend on the individual project schedule and is planned from 2027 onwards. The wind turbines will be mounted on hybrid towers with a hub height of 179 meters.

Gernot Gauglitz, Managing Partner of the UKA Group, commented: “In a market environment that has become more challenging, we are making good progress with the realization of our project pipeline. The turbines we use are one of the factors contributing to the profitability of our projects. With this order, UKA has firmly ordered an additional 224 MW from our premium partner Nordex.”

Karsten Brüggemann, Vice President Region Central at the Nordex Group, added: “These latest orders further deepen the successful collaboration between the Nordex Group and UKA. We are pleased that UKA has once again chosen our most powerful wind turbines from our portfolio and is also opting for a large hub height of 179 meters with the N175/6.X for these projects.”

As a fully owner-managed developer of wind and photovoltaic parks, UKA has focused since 1999 on long-term, economically viable, and climate-friendly projects in Germany, Europe, and the Americas.

The Nordex Group has installed around 57 GW of wind energy capacity in more than 40 markets and achieved revenues of approximately EUR 7.3 billion in 2024. With over 10,400 employees and production sites in Germany, Spain, Brazil, India, the USA, and Mexico, Nordex primarily delivers onshore turbines in the 4–7 MW+ range, designed for regions with limited expansion space and grid capacity.

Nordex shares continued to rise in today’s trading and are currently quoted at EUR 31.90.
