Utrecht (NL)/Bremen (GER) (renewablepress) - Deutsche Windtechnik has signed a full service agreement, as independent service provider, with Eneco, which is one of Europe's leading sustainable energy companies. The comprehensive eight-year contract includes an availability guarantee, all inspections, repairs, maintenance and the replacement of large components for the Enercon E82 turbines at the Warisoulx and Pont a Celles wind farms in Belgium. The service agreement signed by Eneco and Deutsche Windtechnik builds upon the successful long-term partnership between the two companies in Belgium and the Netherlands. The agreement, which began on November 1st 2022, is the first Enercon service contract for Deutsche Windtechnik in Benelux and expands the company's existing multi-brand portfolio in this region.

Large potential for further Enercon service

By expanding its service activities in Benelux, Deutsche Windtechnik is strengthening its position as a true multi-brand expert, adding to its existing portfolio of Vestas and Senvion service contracts in the region. The local teams benefit from the internal transfer of knowledge between the company's European entities. Geert Timmers, Managing Director of Deutsche Windtechnik B.V.: "Our company has been servicing Enercon wind farms for many years in Germany, Poland and Sweden. This is a huge advantage for our customers in terms of reliability. Our vast resources in the areas of expertise, specialised tooling and spare parts ensure that we can provide service that meets the highest professional standards." Geert Timmers also sees potential for further multi-brand contracts to be signed in the future by
Deutsche Windtechnik in the region. Service teams specialised in Enercon technology are the foundation of an extensive service network to provide maintenance for future customers.

Existing cooperation has positive effect

Eneco and Deutsche Windtechnik have an existing business relationship that covers various onshore and offshore windfarms. All services are tailored to Eneco's requirements, from full-service maintenance including availability guarantee for onshore wind farms like St. Antoinedijk and Sombreffe, to major component exchanges at offshore sites such as the Prinses Amalia offshore windpark. The two companies share common values such as transparency, clear communication and a commitment to delivering the best results possible without compromises. Arjen van der Wijst, Head of Renewable Power (Asset Operations) at Eneco: "Our company has a very diversified portfolio of wind farms, both onshore and offshore, and seeks to operate them in the most reliable and productive way. With that goal in mind, Eneco continuously evaluates the performance of its wind farms and seeks to work with service providers that help us to achieve our goals in a participative way."

The new long-term agreement allows both parties to set up solid financial schedules and to develop sustainable local facilities in the region. Deutsche Windtechnik has its own trained Enercon technicians and is currently expanding its teams to include more specialised staff, cooperating with Deutsche Windtechnik's Enercon technology department and the in-house Training Center.
