Dauerthal (renewablepress) - ENERTRAG welcomes two experienced leaders in key positions: Dr. Hannah König takes over as head of the Implementation division on 1 December 2024, while Ulrich Heindl has been responsible for the Engineering division since 1 October 2024. Both new appointments strengthen the company's technical and operational base and advance the realisation of ENERTRAG's ambitious energy projects.

Ulrich Heindl: strong engineering base

Ulrich Heindl has been with ENERTRAG since October 2021 and has distinguished himself in his previous role as Head of Energy Systems by initiating pioneering projects. His in-depth experience at companies such as Air Liquide and Air Products, as well as his strategic foresight, make him a central pillar in the management team.

Since 1 October 2020, he has been head of the engineering division and is responsible for the technical design of all national and international energy projects – from the development to the implementation phase. ‘I look forward to continuing to contribute to ENERTRAG's success story and to further advancing renewable energies in my new position,’ says Ulrich Heindl.

New head of implementation: Dr Hannah König

Dr Hannah König brings with her extensive international experience in the realisation of energy projects, gained at Energy Infrastructure Partners and EnBW, particularly in the technical execution of large offshore wind farms. From 1 December 2024, she will head the implementation division at ENERTRAG and be responsible for the efficient realisation of all energy projects worldwide – from investment decision to commissioning.

‘I get up every day to drive the energy transition forward,’ says Dr Hannah König, describing her motivation, which has been a recurring theme throughout her entire career.

Dr König will play a central role in the upcoming major implementation wave resulting from the successful expansion of the project development pipeline. This includes projects in the areas of wind, solar, battery and electrolysis.

Working together for the energy transition

Together, Dr König and Heindl will ensure that the planning, construction and optimisation of ENERTRAG's energy assets are seamlessly integrated to further increase the company's contribution to a sustainable energy system.

‘With Ulrich Heindl and Dr Hannah König, we are strengthening our management team with experienced and committed experts. This combination of internal expertise and new impulses gives us the strength to successfully implement our vision of an emission-free energy future,’ says Dr Tobias Bischof-Niemz, member of the Management Board responsible for International Projects & Technology at ENERTRAG.

About ENERTRAG

At ENERTRAG, we have been advancing the energy transition for over 25?years. Our more than 1,000?employees design, build and operate integrated power plants. These are based on combinations of wind turbines, solar installations, our own grid infrastructure, batteries and electrolysers. These technologies provide reliable, on-demand electricity, heat and green hydrogen – completely replacing fossil fuel power plants.

With our own plants, we generate around 2,000 gigawatt hours of electricity from the wind and sun every year and have been producing green hydrogen since 2011. Based on this, we are developing energy projects with a capacity of over 15 gigawatts in nine countries on four continents.

ENERTRAG embodies the global energy supply of the future: sustainable, secure and regionally anchored – protecting our planet for current and future generations
