Berlin (renewablepress) - Qualitas Energy, a leading global investment and management platform with a dual focus on both funding and developing renewable energy, energy transition, and sustainable infrastructure, announced today the acquisition of two wind energy projects in Germany.

The first project comprises two wind turbines located in Bavaria, with a combined capacity of 5 MW. Plans are underway to repower these installations, replacing them with two modern turbines that will collectively have 14.4 MW. The second project involves the project rights for a greenfield development in Saxony-Anhalt. This project is in an advanced planning stage and envisions the construction of two wind turbines, each with a capacity of 7.2 MW.

Upon completion, these projects are expected to supply sustainable energy to over 19,000 households, making a significant contribution to Germany’s renewable energy targets.

This transaction marks the final acquisition in a series of four completed in recent months.

“These acquisitions underscore Qualitas Energy’s rapid investment pace and strong commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio in the country. By continuously identifying and securing high-potential projects, the company reinforces its role as a key player in Germany’s energy transition,” said Johannes Overbeck, Co-CEO of Qualitas Energy Deutschland GmbH.

Clemens Susen, Head of Investments, added, “The rapid development and repowering of wind projects are key to meeting the growing demand for clean energy. We are continuously seeking suitable investment opportunities to expand our development pipeline and are open to acquiring projects of all sizes and stages of development.”

Qualitas Energy’s German business, a subsidiary of the Qualitas Energy Group, specialices in the acquisition, financing, project development, construction, and operation of onshore wind turbines, with a mission to drive the transition to decarbonisation. The company boasts a team of over 250 employees operating across six strategic locations in Germany: Berlin, Hamburg, Wiesbaden, Trier, Cologne, and Stuttgart.
