Dresden (renewablepress) - The VSB Group, an internationally active developer and operator of renewable energy projects, will showcase its wide range of current photovoltaic projects, hybrid parks combining wind and PV, as well as battery storage and e-mobility solutions at the Intersolar Europe trade fair from May 7 to 9, 2025, in Munich.

In addition to its core business area of onshore wind energy, VSB has been committed for nearly three decades, together with municipalities, energy suppliers, companies, and farmers, to the expansion of photovoltaics (PV) across Europe. VSB develops holistic solutions that combine wind, photovoltaics, and battery storage. The combination of these technologies creates innovative hybrid parks that make a significant contribution to the energy transition and enable reliable year-round electricity production.

In France, VSB recently commissioned the 9.2 MWp PV park "Soleil de Balsac". This was built on a former extraction site for gravel, sand, clay, and kaolin. The repurposing of these areas clearly demonstrates how industrial wastelands can be transformed into future-proof projects.

In Germany, the VSB team is also working on the photovoltaic park ”Löberitz” with a capacity of 19.3 MWp. The ground-mounted facility is in the final stages of approval and is being developed in close collaboration with the municipal utilities of Bitterfeld-Wolfen. It exemplifies how local energy supply can be diversified with regionally produced electricity from renewable energies.

"Our projects impressively demonstrate how wind and solar energy, as well as battery storage, can be sensibly combined to maximize site utilization, conserve resources, and, above all, ensure a stable energy supply," says Thomas Winkler, Managing Director of VSB Germany.

The expansion of photovoltaics is also picking up speed in neighboring Poland. Here, VSB is currently developing one of the largest combined photovoltaic and battery storage projects in the country. It will have a capacity of around 300 MWp, complemented by a utility-scale battery storage system. In the far north of Europe, the project developer is also relying on a mix of technologies: The Finnish wind farm ”Puutionsaari” is planned with a utility-scale combination of wind, PV and battery technologies.

"Businesses, industrial companies, and municipalities are all under pressure to make their energy supply more sustainable, cheaper, and more flexible. We are addressing this with practical and economical solutions that significantly reduce the carbon footprint," adds Dr Felix Grolman, CEO of the VSB Group.

We warmly invite you to shape the future of solar energy together. Visit us at Intersolar Europe in Munich in Hall A4 at Stand 171.
