Wörrstadt, Germany - The Juwi Group's Board of Directors is once again fully staffed. Carsten Bovenschen will become the new CEO of the Juwi Group as of November 15, 2021, and will also assume responsibility for the finance department.

Christian Arnold will take over as Chief Operating Officer Germany on the same date. Stephan Hansen will continue to be responsible for the international business of the Juwi Group.

Bovenschen has been active in the field of renewable energies and their storage for almost 15 years. Most recently, he was CFO at battery specialist Akasol AG in Darmstadt. Prior to that, the 57-year-old business graduate held senior positions at various companies, including as CFO at photovoltaic company Solarwatt.

51-year-old graduate engineer Christian Arnold joined the Juwi Group in 2017, having previously worked as OEM Field Service Leader at Swiss General Electric / ALSTOM AG. At Juwi, he was most recently technical director of the "Renewable Energies Germany" business unit.

"I am delighted that we have been able to gain two proven experts, Carsten Bovenschen and Christian Arnold, for the juwi board of directors," said Dr. Georg Müller, Chairman of the Executive Board of MVV Energie AG and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Juwi AG, welcoming the new appointments.

" Juwi AG is a global company with excellent prospects, which also has a key task and a pioneering role in the upcoming energy transition. I am very much looking forward to my new role and especially to working with my colleagues in the Juwi Group," said Bovenschen. "Germany is internationally pioneering in its commitment to climate protection. In this important market, we want to continue to actively promote the expansion of renewable energies and thus contribute to the implementation of climate neutrality for Germany by 2045", adds Arnold.

Dr. Stephan Küßner, who is serving on the Juwi AG Board of Directors on an interim basis, will leave the Board of Directors on November 30, 2021. Küßner was seconded from MVV Energie AG to Juwi AG as a member of the Executive Board on September 1, 2020, where he was most recently responsible for the German project development business in addition to the finance department. He is now returning to MVV.
