6 MW Turbines: Nordex Group Awarded Contract For 106 MW in Lithuania

Hamburg, Germany - Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has been awarded a contract by Vilnius-based E energija group for the supply and installation of 6 MW class wind turbines. Nordex will supply 16 N163/6.X wind turbines.

Delivery of the turbines will start in 2024, with commissioning of the wind turbines with a total capacity of 106 MW scheduled for the same year. Lithuania's E energija builds and operates renewable energy projects in Lithuania and neighboring countries.

The market for wind turbines in Lithuania is developing steadily. At the end of 2022, according to the Lithuanian wind energy association Lvea, wind turbines with a capacity of 946 MW were in operation, compared with just 671 MW a year earlier.
