Nordex Share at Multi-Year High: Nordex Receives Order for two Additional Wind Farms in Spain

Hamburg (Germany) - The Nordex Group has received an order from its long-standing customer SSE to deliver and install seven wind turbines for two wind farms in Aragón, Spain. The Minguez (19 MW) and Portalrubio (23 MW) wind farms will have a combined installed capacity of 42 MW.

Nordex will also provide a 20-year premium service contract to ensure maximum energy output from the turbines. The projects include four turbines from the 5-MW class (N163/5.X models) on 116-meter towers and three turbines from the 6-MW class (N163/6.X models) on 119-meter towers. Towers, rotor blades, and nacelles will be manufactured in Spain, strengthening European supply chain standards.

“We are delighted to continue our successful collaboration with SSE and to contribute to Aragón’s leadership in renewable energy,” said Francisco Cejudo, Director Sales Spain at Nordex Group. “Our advanced turbine technology position us as a key partner for the region’s ambitious wind energy targets.”

The wind farms are located less than three hours from Nordex’s factory in Barásoain, and the service hub in Zaragoza supports customers throughout the region. Aragón is considered one of Spain’s most dynamic regions for wind energy, with numerous additional projects under development.

The Nordex share is currently trading at around EUR 27.80.
