Strong Interest in Ready-To-Build Wind Projects: Exus Deepens Its Presence in the German Wind Market With Acquisition of 69 MW Wind Farm Project
Frankfurt am Main (Germany) - Ready-to-build (RtB) wind energy projects often offer investors an attractive overall package for entering the wind energy sector. RtB projects provide planning certainty and the opportunity for quick market entry. Deutsche WindXperts GmbH has sold a ready-to-build onshore wind project to Exus Renewables.
The sale was structured as a transfer of project rights and executed in parallel with negotiations on the turbine supply agreements. According to the companies involved, the transaction reflects strong demand for ready-to-build onshore projects in Germany, a trend that is expected to continue into 2026.
“We are very pleased with the successful sale of our wind portfolio and look forward to continuing our excellent cooperation with Exus in constructing the ‘Westphalia’ portfolio as well as in further projects,” said DWXP Managing Director Lars Behrends.
“This project represents an important step for Exus in strengthening our investment focus in Germany, the largest energy market in Europe. It shows that we are positioning ourselves in the long term to become an active player across Europe in a rapidly evolving energy and infrastructure sector. For Exus, entering the Harsewinkel project is of strategic importance,” commented Aygen Yayıkoğlu, CBDO at Exus, on the agreement.
Capcora also regards the deal as an indicator of market momentum. “We are pleased to have supported Deutsche WindXperts GmbH in this transaction. The deal demonstrates the continued interest in onshore wind projects in Germany,” emphasized Henning Prigge, Director at Capcora.
Seller-side legal advice was provided by Blanke Meyer Evers, while Exus was advised by Noerr. KPMG carried out the financial and tax due diligence.
