PNE And Encavis Continue Their Cooperation: Encavis Expands Wind Portfolio Through Acquisition of the Bebensee Wind Farm

Hamburg (Germany) - Encavis AG continues to expand its presence in the German wind market. The Hamburg-based wind and solar park operator has now acquired the “Bebensee” wind farm from the PNE Group, with a total capacity of 34 megawatts (MW).

The wind farm is located around 45 kilometers northeast of Hamburg. The turbines have been in operation for two months. PNE subsidiary Energy Consult GmbH will take over technical and commercial operations management on site.

„With the acquisition of the “Bebensee” wind farm, we are continuing our successful cooperation with PNE and increasing our wind portfolio in Germany to around 770 MW. This is another important contribution to the energy transition”, said Encavis CEO Mario Schirru.

Roland Stanze, Chief Operating Officer of PNE AG, also welcomed the continuation of the partnership: “With this sale, we once again demonstrate our flexibility as a project developer, bringing projects to market at any stage of development to suit our customers. By taking over the operational management, we remain closely connected to the project and the location.“

The “Bebensee” wind farm consists of five Nordex N163 turbines, each with a capacity of 6.8 MW. According to the companies, the expected annual electricity production is sufficient to supply approximately 33,000 households with power for one year on a calculated basis. Electricity is sold under a feed-in tariff in accordance with the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) with a term of 20 years.

Just four months ago, Encavis completed a similar transaction with the acquisition of the “Sundern-Allendorf” wind farm (also 34 MW), likewise in cooperation with PNE.
