PNE Exits The Market Through a Management Buy-Out: PNE AG Withdraws From Panama As Planned

Cuxhaven (Germany) - PNE AG is ending its activities in Panama and is selling its local subsidiary as part of a management buy-out. The long-standing Managing Director will take over the service company as well as six wind energy and photovoltaic projects.

With this sale, the PNE Group is concluding its engagement in Panama, which began in 2018, and is implementing its previously announced strategic market exit. As early as the third quarter of 2025, PNE had already sold one wind energy project and two photovoltaic projects to a U.S. energy utility.

“With this sale, we have now completed our exit from the Panamanian market as planned at the end of 2025. We regularly review our international activities and focus on profitable core markets,” said Heiko Wuttke, CEO of PNE AG. At the same time, he thanked the Managing Director in Panama for his many years of commitment and the successful development work on site.

The listed PNE Group operates internationally. For more than 30 years, the company has been developing onshore and offshore wind energy and photovoltaic projects and generating electricity with its own wind farms. In addition, as a provider of clean energy solutions, PNE offers services across the entire life cycle of energy projects, including battery storage and power-to-X solutions.
