Nordex Order Rally Continues: Verbund Green Power And Nordex Sign Framework Agreement for 700 MW of Wind Power
Hamburg (Germany) - Verbund Green Power and the Nordex Group have concluded a multi-year framework agreement for the supply of up to 700 MW of onshore wind capacity. The agreement, which runs until 2030, allows for the delivery of up to 105 Nordex turbines for projects in Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy, Romania, and Albania.
José Luis Blanco, CEO of the Nordex Group, said: “Through this multi year framework, Nordex will provide the turbine capacity to convert an ambitious pipeline into clean generation across six multi country markets in Europe. With up to 700 MW of our latest 7 MW class onshore turbines slated across Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy, Romania and Albania, we’re creating a clear path to deliver reliable, cost-efficient wind energy together with VERBUND through 2030.”
Michael Strugl, CEO of Verbund, emphasized that the cooperation secures supply chains and accelerates the implementation of the energy transition in Europe.
Verbund is Austria’s leading energy company with a focus on renewable energy, while Nordex has installed around 57 GW of wind power worldwide across more than 40 markets. Both companies are listed in the global renewable energy stock index RENIXX (Renewable Energy Industrial Index). In yesterday’s trading, Verbund shares edged down to €62.25 (-1.2%), while Nordex shares rose by 1.1 % to €32.22.
