Greenwind Launches Construction of Wind Farm With Vestas Turbines: Greenwind Acquires Wind Project in Brandenburg
Berlin (Germany) - The Greenwind Group, based in Berlin, has acquired the project rights for four wind turbines in the Freudenberg wind farm in Brandenburg. The project comprises four Vestas V150-5.6 MW turbines, each with a hub height of 166 meters. The total installed capacity amounts to 22.4 MW.
Crane and assembly areas are scheduled to be prepared in April, and delivery of the turbines by Vestas is planned from August. Full commissioning is scheduled for January 2027. Greenwind therefore estimates a realization period of around one year.
Manuel Lasse, co-shareholder of the Greenwind Group, emphasizes the company’s regional experience: “A seamless takeover was also possible because we have been active in the municipality of Freudenberg for many years.” Among other things, Greenwind is currently developing and constructing a team turbine that, once completed, will be owned by all Greenwind employees. “ The second point: we can implement such an acquisition from a single source. Following the development phase - which in this case was already very advanced - we will immediately begin construction thanks to our Group-owned construction management. Commissioning as well as the best possible technical and commercial operations management are ensured by our Group,” Lasse adds.
The Greenwind Group has been active in the wind and PV sector for more than 15 years and covers the entire value chain, from site acquisition and project development to realization and technical and commercial operations management.
