PNE Group Boosts Power Marketing: PNE Reports Successful 2025 for Wattmate Platform
Cuxhaven (Germany) - According to the company, PNE AG made a strong market entry in 2025 with its digital power marketing platform Wattmate. A total of 80 projects in wind, solar, and battery storage, with an installed capacity of around 1.1?gigawatts, were successfully marketed through the platform.
A new and central trend is the co-location of battery storage systems directly at wind or solar sites. These systems use the same grid connection as the generation units, enabling more stable revenue profiles and opening up new marketing options. “Wattmate allows these aspects to be taken into account holistically. The platform combines market transparency, structuring expertise, and operational experience,” Kompe adds.
In addition to power purchase agreements (PPAs), the platform also considers the combination of different generation types and the provision of system services. This positions PNE as a provider that closely integrates project development, financing, and marketing.
The publicly listed PNE Group has been active in the market for over 30 years and develops wind and photovoltaic projects worldwide. In addition to its own wind farms, the company offers services across the entire lifecycle of plants, provides battery storage solutions, and supports industrial partners in power-to-X technologies.
With Wattmate, PNE now aims to unlock new revenue opportunities for 2026 and further strengthen its digital position in the growing renewable energy market.
