Green Value Supports Transaction: Green Value GmbH Assists Balance Erneuerbare Energien GmbH in Biogas Portfolio Acquisition
Nuremberg (Germany) - Green Value GmbH has supported Balance Erneuerbare Energien GmbH in acquiring a portfolio of biogas plants with a total thermal input capacity of 46 MW.
“On behalf of Balance Erneuerbare Energien GmbH, we conducted the technical due diligence of the biogas plants within the portfolio. Together with BALANCE’s specialist departments, we assessed the opportunities and risks for future operations,” said Daniel Kellermann, Managing Director of Green Value, describing the scope of services.
At four sites, the electricity generated is fed into the local grid, while the heat is supplied to various consumers via district heating networks. The biogas plant in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern features a biogas upgrading facility with a capacity of 1,366 Nm³ of biomethane per hour.
Balance Erneuerbare Energien GmbH is a subsidiary of the Leipzig-based VNG AG and infrastructure investor CVC DIF. The company consolidates VNG’s activities in renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. Balance focuses on project development and participation in biogas and bio-natural gas projects and currently employs around 200 staff.
