Nordex Shares Rise: Wpd Orders Nordex Wind Turbines Totaling Almost 280 MW for Projects in Germany
Hamburg (Germany) - Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has received orders from project developer Wpd totaling 279.2 MW for several onshore wind projects in Germany. The Wpd order includes the delivery of a total of 40 turbines for nine wind farms, as well as a 15-year premium service contract for each project.
All turbines will be installed on hybrid towers. The N163 turbines will have a hub height of 164 meters, while the N175 turbines will be installed on towers with a height of 179 meters. Delivery and installation of the wind turbines are scheduled for 2027. In operation, the turbines are expected to run mostly in 7-MW mode.
With this order, Wpd continues its collaboration with Nordex. Back in September 2025, the developer had already awarded projects with a capacity of around 126 MW to Nordex.
“Wpd's decision to select our technology again - this time including the N175/6.X turbines - after their significant order of nearly 126 MW in September 2025, is a strong endorsement of both our team's capabilities and our technological competence.,” said Karsten Brüggemann, Vice President Region Central of the Nordex Group. He expressed delight at the continuation of the long-standing partnership.
Wpd is one of the international developers and operators of wind and solar parks, with a project pipeline of 38,545 MW in onshore wind and 8,015 MW in solar.
Nordex shares are currently trading up 3.8 percent at €42.96 (as of 13:16, 10.03.2026, Stuttgart Stock Exchange).
