Nordex Expands Project Pipeline: Company Secures Two Orders From Prowind for Wind Projects in Germany
Hamburg (Germany) - The Nordex Group has reported additional orders from Germany. The wind turbine manufacturer has received two orders from Osnabrück-based project developer Prowind GmbH for a total of eight N175/6.X wind turbines with a combined capacity of 54.4 megawatts.
The latest orders build on an already established cooperation between the two companies. In the previous year, Prowind had already ordered seven turbines of the same type from Nordex.
“With these projects, we are once again relying on state-of-the-art technology and sustainable profitability,” said Johannes Busmann, Managing Director of Prowind. The company aims to maximize energy yields and create long-term value for investors and regional energy supply.
Nordex also emphasized the importance of the partnership. Felipe Villalon Waldburg-Zeil, Director Sales Region Central, stated: “The renewed orders from Prowind are a testament to the trust placed in us and the excellent current collaboration. They also clearly highlight how strongly the German market is developing towards high-performance turbines with tall hub heights.”
According to Nordex, the N175/6.X platform is particularly suited for complex sites and enables stable yields over the entire lifecycle thanks to high hub heights and efficient land use. The new orders highlight the growing demand for high-capacity onshore wind turbines in the German market.
After the shares of the wind turbine manufacturer, which is listed in the renewable energy stock index RENIXX World, reached a new annual high of EUR 46.88 yesterday, the Nordex share price declined to EUR 44.50 by the close of trading (closing price: March 18, 2026). Currently, the stock is trading slightly higher at EUR 44.62 (+0.3 %, 1:31 p.m., March 19, 2026, Stuttgart Stock Exchange).
