Solar Fabrik Expands Portfolio: Solar Fabrik Introduces Colored Photovoltaic Module for Heritage Buildings
Laufach (Germany) - Integrating photovoltaic systems on historic buildings presents a special challenge for planners and builders. In addition to implementing modern energy concepts, the requirements of heritage protection must be met, and the aesthetic appearance of the structures preserved.
Technically, the module is based on 96 N-TYPE/TOPCon cells and a double-glass construction, ensuring mechanical stability as well as resistance to weathering. At the same time, the omission of a traditional backsheet provides an additional safety advantage: in the event of a fire, glass does not contribute to flame spread, which is particularly important for heritage protection.
The front glass is copper-red and coated with an anti-reflective layer, reducing glare. With a power output of 400 watts, the module achieves an efficiency of 20.02%.
With dimensions of 1762 × 1134 × 30 mm and a weight of around 24 kilograms, the module can be flexibly integrated into different roof structures. The product and performance guarantee is 30 years, emphasizing the company’s long-term orientation.
Delivery of the Chroma Orange module to specialized retailers will begin in April 2026. According to Solar Fabrik, the product addresses the growing demand for aesthetically integrated solar solutions. The company positions itself as a provider of individualized photovoltaic solutions that combine design, heritage protection, and renewable energy.
Solar Fabrik GmbH has been developing high-quality photovoltaic modules for Europe for over ten years and has received multiple awards, including TOP Brand PV and the EUPD Prosumer Award.
