Qualitas Energy Receives Green Light: Qualitas Energy Secures Permits for 59 MW Wind Projects in Rhineland-Palatinate and Lower Saxony

Berlin (Germany) - Qualitas Energy has received permits for two wind energy projects in Rhineland-Palatinate and Lower Saxony. The projects comprise a total of ten wind turbines with a combined capacity of more than 59 megawatts (MW), further strengthening the company’s German project pipeline.

In Rhineland-Palatinate, the construction of three wind turbines with a capacity of 6.8 MW each has been approved. This brings the total project capacity to 20.4 MW and will contribute to regional renewable electricity supply.

The permit in Lower Saxony covers the implementation of a repowering project in which five existing wind turbines will be replaced by seven new, more powerful units, reaching a total capacity of 39 MW.

Together, both projects are expected to supply more than 39,000 households with wind power.

“These permitting milestones reflect the strength and quality of our in-house development capabilities. At the same time, further digitalisation and acceleration of permitting processes remain critical to enabling a faster expansion of renewable energy. We are well positioned to further expand our footprint in Germany through targeted acquisitions and continued investment in high-potential renewable energy assets,” says Johannes Overbeck, CEO of Qualitas Energy Deutschland GmbH.

In Germany, Qualitas Energy has a wind energy project pipeline of more than 3,000 MW (3 GW) in advanced development, as well as more than 1,000 MW (1 GW) under construction or in operation.
