Vattenfall and EasyPark Combine Parking and Charging in Germany – 1,300 Additional Charging Points Available via App

Berlin – Vattenfall and EasyPark are expanding their electric mobility partnership to Germany. Users of the EasyPark app will gain access to 1,300 public charging points on Vattenfall's InCharge network, allowing them to manage parking and charging through a single app.

Alongside the expansion of charging infrastructure, the integration reflects a growing focus on making that infrastructure easy to access across providers. Vattenfall and EasyPark have cooperated on electric vehicle charging since 2021, when the partnership launched in Sweden. It is now being extended to the German market.

EasyPark Integrates 1,300 Vattenfall Charging Points in Germany

The EasyPark app displays available Vattenfall InCharge charging points nearby in real time. Users can check prices in advance and monitor and end charging and parking sessions through the app. According to the companies, EasyPark subscribers will not incur additional costs for the new charging function.

The 1,300 charging points are not newly built infrastructure but public Vattenfall charging points in Germany that will now also be accessible through EasyPark. The cooperation is therefore primarily a step toward better linking existing charging infrastructure with mobility platforms.

Vattenfall Operates a Significantly Larger Network across Europe

The 1,300 charging points form part of a much larger Vattenfall network. According to the company, Vattenfall InCharge operates around 48,500 publicly accessible charging points in Sweden, the Netherlands, and Germany. This is separate from the even greater access to charging points from other operators through roaming agreements.

EasyPark, too, does not operate the integrated charging points itself but incorporates charging infrastructure from various providers into its mobility platform. As early as 2023, all of Vattenfall InCharge's roughly 4,000 public charging points at more than 760 locations in Sweden were already accessible through EasyPark. Through further roaming partnerships, EasyPark continues to expand access to charging infrastructure across Europe.

Charging Infrastructure Grows as Ease of Use Gains Importance

As of August 1, 2026, Germany had 212,064 registered public standard and fast-charging points, according to the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur). As the number of charging points grows, the question of how easily drivers can find, use, and pay across different networks is gaining importance alongside physical expansion.

The EU also imposes regulatory requirements in this regard. The Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR) requires, among other things, price transparency and the option to charge on an ad hoc basis without a prior contract.

The Vattenfall-EasyPark cooperation, then, is not focused on building additional physical charging infrastructure but on access to existing charging points. Combining parking search, parking transactions, charging point availability, price information, and charging within a single mobility app is intended to simplify the use of public charging infrastructure, particularly in urban traffic.
