Enphase Stock Zooms: Enphase Energy Brings Most Powerful Commercial Microinverter To The U.S. Market

Fremont (USA) – U.S. energy technology provider Enphase Energy has opened pre-orders in the United States for its new IQ9S-3P Commercial Microinverter. According to the company, which is considered a global leader in microinverter-based solar and battery systems, this is the most powerful microinverter Enphase has developed to date.

The device is based on gallium nitride (GaN) technology and is designed for commercial solar installations with module capacities of up to 770 watts. The IQ9S-3P delivers a continuous output power of 548 VA and supports a continuous DC current of 18 amperes. It can be connected directly to three-phase 480Y/277 V grid configurations without requiring external transformers. Together with the previously introduced IQ9N-3P, Enphase is expanding its portfolio for the U.S. 480 V three-phase market.

According to the company, the new microinverter generation is particularly suited for commercial rooftop systems using high-power modules between 600 and 770 watts. The GaN technology enables higher efficiency, lower heat generation, and a weighted CEC efficiency of 97.5 percent.

“Module wattages keep climbing, and IQ9S-3P Commercial Microinverters are built for exactly where the industry is headed,” said Eric Edler, project manager at Eland Electric. Michael Pitcavage, CEO of Endless Energy, described it as a “real game changer” for the commercial business.

The systems comply with grid standards including UL 1741-SB and IEEE 1547-2018 and include features such as rapid shutdown, phase balancing, and loss-of-phase detection to support grid safety and system reliability. Serial production shipments are scheduled to begin in June 2026. The microinverters come with a limited 25-year warranty.

The Enphase stock is leading the RENIXX this week after four trading days, up 33% at EUR 41.16 (closing price: May 14, 2026, Stuttgart Stock Exchange).
