Nordex Secures Another Order in Home Market: Expands Cooperation with SAB Wind Team in Brandenburg
Hamburg, Germany – Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex reports another order from Germany for the end of June. The client is the project developer and operator SAB Wind Team GmbH from Itzehoe. Nordex shares rose by 0.9 percent to 18.2 euros by early afternoon today.
The wind farm site is located in Fretzdorf, Brandenburg near Wittstock/Dosse. Construction of the turbines is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026, with commissioning planned for spring 2027.
“We’re proud to once again collaborate with SAB WindTeam on a project of this scale like the Fretzdorfer Heide wind farm. This initiative sends a clear message in support of Germany’s renewable energy expansion and sustainable progress in Brandenburg”, said Felipe Villalon Waldburg-Zeil, Director Sales Region Central at Nordex, welcoming the order.
Lars Niebuhr, Managing Director of SAB Wind Team, also emphasized the partnership: “We are pleased to be working with Nordex to implement a large wind farm at a forest site for which these turbines are ideally suited.”
SAB Wind Team GmbH, based in Itzehoe, develops, finances, and operates onshore wind farms in Germany and France. With over 70 projects and more than 1,000 MW of installed capacity since 2006, the company is steadily expanding its own portfolio to establish itself as an independent power producer. Nordex has installed approximately 57 GW of wind capacity worldwide and achieved sales of 7.3 billion euros in 2024. The company, listed in the renewable energy stock index RENIXX-World, employs over 10,400 people and manufactures at sites in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
