Eneco And Deutsche Windtechnik Cooperate for Maximum Availability: Deutsche Windtechnik Takes Over Service for Prinses Amalia Wind Farm
Bremen (Germany) - The renewable energy provider Eneco has selected Deutsche Windtechnik as the new service partner for the Prinses Amalia Wind Farm in the Dutch North Sea.
The Prinses Amalia Wind Farm is located about 25 kilometers off the coast of IJmuiden in the Netherlands and consists of 60 Vestas V80 wind turbines with a total capacity of 120 megawatts (MW). Deutsche Windtechnik will provide dedicated maintenance personnel, tools, components, and spare parts, as well as engineering and back-office services.
A central element of the cooperation is close coordination on maintenance priorities and operations. Both companies coordinate their resources through the jointly used facilities in IJmuiden to deploy personnel, vessels, and materials efficiently. The goal is to increase turbine availability and optimize electricity output during the remaining operational period.
Remco Streppel from Eneco emphasizes: "At Eneco, we value maintaining high production levels and reliability across our wind portfolio. Working closely with Deutsche Windtechnik enables us to achieve this efficiently and safely, with clear alignment on priorities and performance targets.”
Geert Timmers of Deutsche Windtechnik adds: “We are proud to strengthen our cooperation with Eneco and to take responsibility for maintaining this landmark offshore wind farm. The addition of Prinses Amalia wind park doubles our service portfolio in the Netherlands and reinforces our commitment to supporting the country’s offshore wind sector. Backed by our owned spare-parts network, major warehouses, and experienced teams, we are ready to ensure smooth operations and reliable performance in the years ahead.”
With this agreement, Eneco and Deutsche Windtechnik strengthen their position in the Dutch offshore segment and rely on partnership-based maintenance to maximize performance and availability.
