Successful Cooperation Between UKA and Nordex: UKA Reaches Milestone with 300th Nordex Wind Turbine in Brandenburg
Meißen (Germany) - Energy park developer UKA has reached an important milestone in its collaboration with wind turbine manufacturer Nordex. With the Halenbeck-Warnsdorf wind farm in Brandenburg, the construction of the 300th wind turbine based on the framework agreement between the two companies, in place since 2020, is set to begin.
The project benefits multiple stakeholders: the surrounding community receives additional revenue through regulations under the Renewable Energy Sources Act and the wind energy levy, landowners benefit from lease income, and Germany’s energy supply becomes further independent from fossil fuel imports. Nationwide, UKA has fully planned or is in the approval process for wind farms with a total capacity of more than two gigawatts.
The close and long-term partnership with Nordex is a key success factor for the implementation of these projects. Since the signing of the framework agreement in 2020, both companies have been able to establish efficient processes and further improve the quality of their projects. Currently, wind farms with a total capacity of around 1.5 GW (1,500 MW) are under construction, with initial work on the Halenbeck-Warnsdorf wind farm scheduled to begin in early 2026.
The 300th turbine resulting from the UKA-Nordex collaboration is expected to supply renewable energy just a few months after construction begins. Nordex also sees the project as a strong signal for the energy transition in Germany and the reliable partnership between the two companies.
